Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins (born in Mexico) is an Mexican American journalist. She is currently working as a sportscaster at ESPN who is also an anchor of SportsCenter as well as hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN in 2016. was a part of ESPN. Her mother is the television reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is a native speaker of two languages. When she was just nine years old, her ability to communicate in two languages allowed her to get the job she wanted in Miami as an assistant producer for Univision. As an assistant producer she was given the chance to be a part of national show producers, such as Nuestra Belleza Latina. Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. Following this it was announced that she was hired by the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg employed her as a reporter for sports. In 2009, she relocated from Rio Grande Valley, Texas to work as an anchor for the newscast of the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to immigration and drug trafficking across both Texas as well as Mexico. Also, she would fill in on occasion as a weather and sports anchor. Later, she was anchor and reporter on Univision's Dallas affiliate Deportes 23 where she was assigned more responsibility. She wrote pieces on Major League Baseball ALDS ALCS and World Series as well Dallas Cowboys NBA postseason Finals FC Dallas, and Dallas Stars. In addition, she hosted the local Univision 23 sports program Accion Deportiva Extra on which she also served as anchor. She was hired as anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. As a sports anchor she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta Collins' parents were originally from Veracruz Mexico. They eventually were moved into Mexico City where she was born on 22 November 1985. There is also a younger sibling. There is an older sibling. After a short time, her father separated from her mother. She was subsequently remarried by 1995 naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away of kidney carcinoma in 2006. Her residence was in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer and was provided with a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a very clear vision of her career goals. She visited Mount Union University to determine if they suited her. She loved the campus. They also offered her the program she was interested in. She finished school and went to the University as a media studies major. Mark Bergmann, her professor who also managed WRMU's 91.1FM station for which she worked over the years, became a friend. His passion for journalism and confidence in her own abilities encouraged her. In turn, she attempted to live up to his standards and not let him down.
